I ran track and cross country  in high school. In 2016 I finished off my high school career running my first marathon, the Utah Valley Marathon. Sense then I've ran a few half marathons but haven't been running consistently. This summer I'm hoping to get back into running and PR at the St George Marathon this fall.

Easy run on the river trail. My shins were hurting near the end so I went back early.

2 mile easy warmup. Then 2 miles t-pace with a 1 minute rest in between.  After that 4 200's at r-pace with a 200 rest. Then another 1 mile t-pace and 2 mile cool down. I was really tired after.

My shins had been hurting all day, but I decided to still go to track practice. We did a mile warmup then 2 600's R-pace, 4 400's r-pace, then some 300's and 200's all with a 1-1 rest. I only got through one 300 before I could barely walk from shin splints. My coach said to take the weekend off. I think I'm taking monday off too.

Biked to Sky View, about 13 miles. On the way there, there was a strong headwind and the going was slow. But on the way back it was really fast. It was good to be on the bike again and doing a little bit longer rides.

We did a 10 minute warmup then 5 five minutes t-pace with 1 minute rests in between. Then 10 minutes cool down.  I felt good but I still have shin splints really bad.

We had our first meet today. We were just running against other people on the team to see where people were. I was really hoping to get under 6 on the mile, so it was a little disappointing to come in with a 6:01. I also ran the 400 and did  better than I thought I would (1:13). I don't really like the 400. It was a fun race and it was cool to see where everyone was at.

2 miles warmup. Then 3 five minutes t-pace with 3 minute rests. We have a meet against Sky View on thursday and then Pine View in St. George on Friday and Saturday. I'm going to be running the mile and 2 mile. I'm super excited.
