I ran track and cross country  in high school. In 2016 I finished off my high school career running my first marathon, the Utah Valley Marathon. Sense then I've ran a few half marathons but haven't been running consistently. This summer I'm hoping to get back into running and PR at the St George Marathon this fall.

I ran 2.5 miles to the Farmer's Market and back. My legs hurt a lot though I'm going to just take it day by day to see if I can run. But between achilles, hamstring and calf pain I don't think I want to risk it.

I tried running again there was still some pain. I'm signed up for a 5k on Saturday so I'm hoping I can run that without hurting anything. Cross Country starts next week I'm really excited.

I'm getting really excited for Cross Country. Today I felt a lot better and was able to run for 40 minutes. I ran by the university and there was a really stron head wind which made me go a lot slower. I think I'm going to try and work on my form this summer so I don't get as many injuries.

I got to the race and I thought it started at 8:30 but it really started at 9:30 so there was a lot of waiting around. There wasn't a whole lot of people and my main competition was Sydney Bails. She  was from Idaho and runs Cross Country. The start was really fast and there was people who were in the bathroom or just registering that missed it. The first half mile I was running behind Sergio then Luis showed up after we past the .5 mark. At the first mile we were joined by anotheer guy and  Sydney. My first mile pace was 6:37. I led for a little bit in the second mile and by the third mile I had lost some steam and was third. I came in first for women and Luis won the men's. After they had some really cool prizes I probably came back with over $100 in prizes. It was really fun and I'm glad I did it and everyone enjoy free fishing day in Idaho and Utah!

Ran a couple times through out  the day. I find running to get places instead of biking is an easy way to get miles in.

I got up early to go run but it was hard to push myself. It felt like I had been out there for a while after only 20 minutes.

I ran to Adams Park and did one r-pace mile. I felt really good this morning but I slowed down a lot on the way back.

I ran  with the varsity guys today it was a good push. I actually didn't have much trouble keeping up with them except on the hills.

It was a great morning and I ran out to Sky View. This was probably the farthest I've ever ran but it didn't hurt to bad and I was able to keep a good pace. I don't know if I'll do as high of mileage next week.  Later 25 miles on the bike up Blacksmith Fork.

I didn't feel very good today. I was slow and some muscles hurt. I think I'm going for a 40-45 mile week this week.

My knee was hurting a lot by the end of the run. I don't think it's anything major but it does hurt. I might take a day off tomorrow and see how it does.

My knee was hurting a lot today, the run was tough.  I think I'm going to get it checked out because it's causing me enough pain.

My knee is starting to feel better, but  I probably still ran further than I should have. We ran to first dam and then on the bonneville trail. There were some tough hills but it was still fun.

I decided to take some days off this week and try  to heal up my knee. It's still hurting when I run and I want it to be gone before my half marathon.
