I ran track and cross country  in high school. In 2016 I finished off my high school career running my first marathon, the Utah Valley Marathon. Sense then I've ran a few half marathons but haven't been running consistently. This summer I'm hoping to get back into running and PR at the St George Marathon this fall.

I ran a mile up to the canyon entrance park and met Tanner and Johnny. We all are not in prime running shape so we just did an easy two miles up the coal creek trail to the cedar city nature park. The two miles definitely felt harder than it should have been. We're planning on running the cedar city half marathon together at the end of the summer. We definitely have a long way to go to reach that goal but it was fun to finally start training and run with friends.

I ran a mile warmup with Nouman to the track. At the track we did 3 400's all around 1:30. I haven't been on the track for a long time and I felt really out of shape. After we ran another 2 miles back to SUU. I start my training plan for the st George marathon on Monday. I have a long way to go as I need to lose about ten pounds, gain back some speed and really build up my mileage. Even though I felt really out of shape today it was a lot of fun to go to the track and start running again. In the words of Nouman, "I'm running again, I've got my freedom back!"
