We were supposed to have the Cache Box invitational today and tomorrow but it got canceled due to the weather. I was a little disappointed and it was hard mentally to readjust to not racing. I guess Coach Nielson decided we should still do a hard workout even though we couldn't race. We did 3 miles at I-pace with a 3-4 minute break between each mile. My miles were supposed to be 6:12. My first and second miles were 6:14's. It was a little frustrating because I felt like I was going all out but my times were still a little slow. My third mile I came in right at 6:12 but after that I was really tired and decided to not do another, I did a 2 mile cool down. It felt good but the workout felt harder than just racing a mile. |
